Monique Mort LPC Director/Co-Founder/Clinician

Monique Mort (She/Her), is a licensed therapist who is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all. Her focus is on helping those struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, racial trauma, family/relational problems, and ethical non-monogamy. She provides services for Individuals, Couples and Families. She earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and have been practicing therapy for over 15 years.

She has a passion for serving those who identify as LGBTQ+, POC, and persons seeking Gender-affirming or Poly affirming care. She recognizes that systemic oppression impacts individuals, families, and communities, and she strives to acknowledge and address these issues in her work while normalizing mental awareness in otherwise underserved communities.

Her approach to therapy is relational, strengths-based, and draws from various evidence-based modalities. Therapy modalities she draws from are: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy(DBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.

Monique, a proud Black Therapist ( African American ), Polyamorous, and pansexual / queer woman, has spent her life overcoming adversity and advocating for those who need it most. Growing up in Compton, CA, she faced immense challenges, including losing her mother to Lupus at a young age and spending her childhood in foster care until she aged out at 18. These experiences fueled her passion for helping underserved communities

In addition to individual therapy, we also offer group therapy, couples therapy, and family therapy. We also have a variety of workshops and events throughout the year, such as meditation classes, yoga classes, and mindfulness retreats.
